The tragedy occurred back in late 2023, but for a long time, the soldier was considered missing in action.
The artist’s body was only recently identified through DNA analysis. The deceased’s colleague, director Volodymyr Tykhyi, reported that the soldier’s heart stopped on December 29 while carrying out a combat mission near Avdiivka.
“The farewell ceremony for the director will take place on April 21 in Kyiv. At 10:00 a.m. on Independence Square, a moment of silence will begin, followed by a tribute to his memory near the Obolon District State Administration,” wrote Volodymyr Tykhyi.
A religious service and funeral service will be held at the Church of Saints Paul and Peter. The talented director will be laid to rest on the Walk of Fame, where heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s territorial integrity are buried.
