Russia is attacking Kyiv with drones; residents are urged to remain in shelters
Following the announcement of an air raid alert in Kyiv, enemy drones were detected. Air defense forces are currently operating in the city.
The air raid alert in the capital was declared at 12:59 p.m. Just a few minutes later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported a threat from enemy drones over the city.
“UAVs over the city center. Air defense is active. Stay in shelters!” Klitschko wrote at 1:05 p.m.
Air defense forces are currently actively engaged in the capital. Residents in various districts are hearing explosions associated with the destruction of aerial targets.
According to preliminary reports, the air defense operations are loudest in the northern part of Kyiv, particularly in Obolon.
Authorities are urging citizens not to leave their shelters and to follow safety guidelines until the air raid alert ends.

During another massive shelling of the capital, Russian troops caused damage to one of the buildings of the State Tax Service, located on the right bank of Kyiv.
