Russia has attacked the Kharkiv region 14 times; there is one fatality and several injured
Over the past day, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv and 13 settlements in the Kharkiv region.
As a result of the attacks, one woman was killed, and 11 other civilians sustained injuries or experienced acute stress reactions.
“In the city of Kharkiv, a woman aged about 45 was killed by shelling. In total, five people in the regional capital sustained injuries of varying severity, and four others experienced acute stress reactions. Additionally, in the town of Lyubotin, a 65-year-old man was injured, and a 60-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction,” the statement reads.
According to the Regional Military Administration, the enemy launched massive drone strikes on the Kyivskyi, Slobidskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Nemyshlianskyi, and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv.
In total, Russian troops used the following across the region:
- 4 missiles;
- 1 guided aerial bomb;
- 11 “Molniya”-type UAVs;
- 1 FPV drone;
- 83 other types of drones.
As a result of Russian attacks, significant damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded in the region.
In Kharkiv, the following were damaged:
- a shopping center;
- 6 private homes;
- 8 cars;
- an administrative building;
- a gas station;
- a bus.
In the Kharkiv district, specifically in Lyubotin, an apartment building, a private home, a farm building, and a civilian enterprise were damaged. In Lozova, Cherkasy region, the power grid was damaged, and in Dokuchaevsk, a farm building was damaged.
In the Bohodukhiv district, in Zolochiv, four private homes, an educational institution, and a warehouse were damaged. In Klynova-Novoselivka, a private home was damaged.
In the Kupiansk district, a gas station in Ogurtsivka and an apartment building in Shevchenkove were damaged.
In the Izyum district, a community center and power lines in Chervona Polyana were damaged, as well as a private home in Izyum. In Chuhuiv, a civilian enterprise was damaged.
Meanwhile, the evacuation of the population continues in the region.
Over the past 24 hours, the transit evacuation center in Lozova received 286 people. In total, 55,928 people have been registered there since the center began operations.
On the front lines, 242 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attacks by Russian forces near Starytsia and in the directions of Zakharivka, Okhrimivka, and Volokhivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops launched one attack toward Novoosynove.

Overnight, Russian troops attacked the grounds of a hospital in Sumy, damaging two ambulances, a civilian car, and the entrance to the medical facility.
In the Chernihiv region on August 28, three people were injured as a result of Russian attacks. Two women suffered acoustic trauma after an FPV drone struck the car in which they were traveling. Another man was injured in an attack on a civilian facility.
Russian troops attacked Kherson with drones in the morning, killing one man and wounding two others. The Korabelny and Dniprovsky districts of the city were struck.
On the night of August 29, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, using missiles and 267 attack drones.
In the Odesa region, one person was killed and three others were wounded as a result of the enemy strike. The attack also caused eight trucks carrying food supplies to catch fire.
On the afternoon of August 28, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with seven “Banderole” missiles and 96 attack drones. Most of the drones were jet-powered, and the enemy directed a significant portion of them toward Kyiv.
As a result of the August 28 attack, Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized most of the air targets launched by Russia; however, at the time of the evening report, some drones were still in Ukrainian airspace. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the attack.
Earlier, Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on a facility in Kryvyi Rih.
As a reminder, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles.
Prior to that, Russia had attacked warehouses and energy infrastructure in the Odesa region.
