Russia attacked Kherson with a drone, causing a massive fire

On the night of August 26, Russian troops attacked the Central District of Kherson with a drone. The strike caused a massive fire that completely destroyed several retail outlets.

As a result of the Russian drone strike in the city’s Central District, retail establishments caught fire. The fire quickly spread to several retail outlets, which were completely destroyed.

Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished.

According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured as a result of this attack.

At the same time, Russian troops continued their massive attacks on the Kherson region over the past 24 hours. Dozens of settlements in the region came under fire.

One person was killed and 12 others were injured as a result of Russian shelling and drone attacks.

Russian strikes also damaged residential buildings, stores, vehicles, and other civilian infrastructure.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

Over the past 24 hours, on August 25, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 17 other settlements in the region with missiles and drones, injuring 23 people, including two girls. The highest number of casualties was in Izium, where 14 people were injured, including children aged 11 and 16.

On the morning of August 26, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region; explosions were heard in the central part of the city. According to preliminary reports, the occupiers may have used guided bombs; information on casualties is being verified.

In the Chernihiv region and in Slavutych, 30,000 customers lost power following an attack by the Russian Federation.

As a reminder, on August 23, Russian forces attacked a train station in the Kharkiv region with a drone while a passenger train carrying evacuees was stopped. Two women were killed in the strike, and five others were injured.

On August 23, Russian terrorist forces attacked Ukraine’s railway infrastructure five times. One person was killed and four others were injured as a result of the strikes.

On August 23, Russian forces attacked the locomotive of passenger train No. 147, traveling from Zhytomyr to Odesa, with a jet-powered drone. The train was stopped and passengers evacuated before the strike, so neither passengers nor railway workers were injured.
