Russia attacked Kryvyi Rih; a drone struck a high-rise building
In Kryvyi Rih, an enemy drone struck a high-rise residential building, causing a fire. Emergency services quickly began rescue operations and brought the fire under control in the damaged building.
This was reported on Telegram by Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.
According to preliminary data, none of the residents were injured as a result of the Russian Federation’s terrorist attack. Cleanup efforts following the strike and an inspection of the building’s structure were carried out in the city. Prior to the incident, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned residents of the threat of strike drones in the region.
Coordination between local authorities and rescue workers allowed the fire to be quickly contained. The situation in the city remains under the control of defense agencies. An assessment of the extent of damage to civilian infrastructure is currently underway. Similar Russian strikes on civilian cities are prompting an increase in security measures and air defense.
Russian drones also attacked the Mykolaiv region again overnight. Energy infrastructure was targeted, leaving some settlements without power.
In addition, the Zaporizhzhia region endured hundreds of air and ground attacks over the past 24 hours. There are casualties, including a child among the injured.
On May 2, Russian troops attacked Kherson and the region, killing two people and wounding 18 others.
