Russia attacked Lviv with suicide bombers; a fire has broken out in the city – video

On March 24, Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on western regions of Ukraine using kamikaze drones.

According to Lviv Regional State Administration Head Maksym Kozytskyi and Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, enemy drones were spotted heading toward Peremyshlyany and Bibrka, after which they reached the outskirts of Lviv.

During the air raid alert, a series of explosions rang out in the city, linked to air defense forces targeting drones moving toward the largest residential area—Sykhiv. One of the drones struck a building in the city center, causing a fire. Currently, two people are known to have suffered serious injuries.

City and regional authorities have urged residents to remain in shelters until the all-clear is given and to strictly observe a media blackout, refraining from filming air defense operations. The attack occurred amid reports that Russia is testing new tactics involving massive daytime drone strikes, likely followed by the use of missile weapons. Reconnaissance of the airspace is currently underway, and emergency services are verifying reports of possible damage or casualties caused by falling debris within the Lviv community.

This attack was part of a large-scale Russian air offensive that on March 24, 2026, targeted several regions of Ukraine, including critical infrastructure facilities in the rear areas.

As a result of the morning enemy strike on Dnipro, the number of casualties has risen to 13 people.
