Russia launched a Shahed drone attack on the Mykolaiv region, damaging a hospital and an industrial facility

On May 21, Russian forces attacked the Mykolaiv region with Shahed-type attack drones. As a result of the shelling, a medical facility in Mykolaiv was damaged and a fire broke out at an industrial plant.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

According to the Regional Military Administration, the drone attack and falling debris damaged the windows of a hospital administration building in Mykolaiv.

In addition, a fire broke out at one of the city’s industrial facilities.

The administration noted that no one was injured as a result of the attack.

Also, over the past 24 hours, the Russian army attacked the Ochakiv community 10 times with FPV drones.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, there were no casualties or injuries.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, 15 attacks by Russian drones were recorded. The strikes damaged businesses, residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure in several districts of the region.

On the evening of May 21, Kharkiv came under attack by Russian drones, resulting in strikes on residential buildings and near a shopping center, as well as a fire. No information on casualties has been received so far, and the consequences of the strikes are being assessed. Relevant services are on the ground working to address the aftermath of the attack.

On the night of May 21, fighters from the Special Operations Forces (SSO) and Unmanned Systems Forces (SBF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a precision strike on the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region of the Russian Federation. 

In Russia, following the drone attack, fires broke out at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, and on the grounds of the Azot chemical plant in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai.

On the night of May 20, a series of explosions rocked the Stavropol Krai in Russia, followed by reports of damage to the Nevinnomyssk Azot plant. The plant is one of the largest producers of ammonia and ammonium nitrate in Russia. Information regarding the extent of the damage and the consequences of the attack is being clarified.
