Russia attacked Silpo distribution centers; there are fatalities
As a result of heavy Russian shelling on August 5, fires broke out at two distribution centers belonging to the Silpo chain. According to preliminary reports, six employees were killed; the number of injured is still being determined.
“Dear Guests! Unfortunately, we have tragic news. As a result of today’s Russian shelling, fires broke out at two of our distribution centers. According to the latest data, six employees were killed. Information on the number of injured is still being verified,” the statement reads.
The company emphasized that the deaths of these employees are a great tragedy for the entire team.
“This is an unspeakable loss for all of us. We are in constant contact with the victims’ loved ones and are ready to provide all necessary assistance. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who died,” the statement noted.
Efforts are currently underway to verify information regarding the victims and to address the aftermath of the Russian attack.

On the night of August 5, as a result of a massive Russian attack on Kyiv, the “Nova Poshta” sorting center was completely destroyed. Three people were killed in the attack, and significant damage to civilian infrastructure was also reported.
As a reminder, eight people were killed in the Brovary district while waiting for a train as a result of the Russian attack.
As a result of Russia’s nighttime missile attack on the night of August 5, production and logistics facilities belonging to the company “Epicenter” sustained significant damage. One employee was killed, and three others were injured.
As a result of a Russian drone attack on August 4 in Dnipro, a warehouse belonging to the company “Biosfera”—which was part of a 20,000-square-meter warehouse complex—was completely destroyed.
