Russia attacked the Donetsk region; there are casualties and injuries

In the Donetsk region, two civilians were killed and eight others were wounded as a result of Russian attacks. Significant damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure was also reported. This information is current as of Saturday morning, September 26.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled settlements in the Donetsk region 38 times. A total of 1,121 people, including 85 children, were evacuated from areas near the front line.

“In total, over the past 24 hours, the Russians shelled populated areas in Donetsk Oblast 38 times. A total of 1,121 people, including 85 children, were evacuated from the front line,” said Vadym Filashkin.

According to the Regional Military Administration, in Bilozerske, Pokrovsk District, three private homes were destroyed as a result of the shelling, and a high-rise building and four other private homes were damaged.

In the Kramatorsk district, the following damage was reported:

• in Sloviansk, two people were wounded, and a high-rise building, four private homes, and a car were damaged;
• in Bilbasivka, 13 private homes were damaged;
• in Kramatorsk, two people were injured, and a high-rise building was damaged;
• In Yasnogorka, two people were injured;
• in Oleksandrivka, a high-rise building, three private homes, and a car were damaged;
• In Starovarvarivka, nine private homes, three administrative buildings, a store, and a power line were damaged;
• In Novodonetsk, 16 high-rise buildings and three administrative buildings were damaged;
• In Druzhkivka, two people were killed and two others were wounded.

Russian shelling has caused significant destruction and damage to residential and civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk region. The evacuation of residents from dangerous areas is ongoing.
