Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and 86 drones; air defense forces shot down 69 aerial targets

On the night of July 4, Russian forces carried out yet another massive airstrike against Ukraine, using an Iskander-M ballistic missile, an X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missile, and 86 attack drones.

According to military reports, air defense forces neutralized 69 enemy drones

Some of the drones were shot down, while others lost their bearings or were jammed by electronic warfare systems.

At the same time, two missiles and 17 attack UAVs were confirmed to have struck 16 different locations. Debris from downed aerial targets was also found at five locations.

The Air Force emphasized that as of the morning of July 4, the air attack was still ongoing, and information regarding the consequences and the operations of air defense forces continues to be clarified.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

Russian troops launched a missile strike on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region, injuring two people and causing a large-scale fire.

In addition, Russian forces attacked Sumy with guided aerial bombs, injuring an elderly woman. Damage to civilian infrastructure has been reported in the city, and emergency services are assessing the extent of the strike’s impact.

As a result of a massive Russian strike on the capital, a rented humanitarian warehouse belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross was completely destroyed; it had stored over 320,000 items of cargo and equipment with a total value of more than 79 million hryvnias

As a result of Russian shelling and a fire at one of the capital’s enterprises, fuel and lubricants flowed into Kyrylivskyi Lake in Kyiv through the storm sewer system.
