The Russian Federation attacked Zaporizhzhia with Shahed drones: a high-rise building hit and civilians injured
Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia in the morning using Shahed strike drones. One of the drones hit a multi-storey residential building, causing a fire and leaving people injured.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, on Telegram.
“In the early morning hours, the Russians attacked the regional center with a drone. As a result of the Shahed strike, a fire broke out in a high-rise building. Rescue services are currently working at the scene. Residents of the upper floors are being evacuated from the building,” the statement said.

According to Fedorov, it was initially known that two people were injured: a man sustained shrapnel wounds, and a woman suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning.
“More than fifty rescuers and 14 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire that broke out in a multi-story building in Zaporizhzhia as a result of an enemy drone attack,” Fedorov wrote, adding that the fire has already been brought under control.
It was also reported that the number of people injured as a result of the enemy strike on the city has increased to three.
Earlier, Russian forces carried out a second attack on an enterprise in the Synelnykivskyi district of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The shelling occurred while firefighters were extinguishing a blaze. As a result of the attack, an employee of the enterprise and a rescuer were wounded.
