Russia is attempting to break through to Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region
Russian occupation forces are conducting intense assault operations in the direction of Orikhiv and Verkhnia Tersa, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses using small infantry units.
This was reported by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, in a comment to LIGA.net.
The enemy aims to cut off Orikhiv in order to subsequently create a foothold for advancing toward Komyshuvakha, Vilniansk, and Zaporizhzhia.
The invaders’ command is developing large-scale offensive plans covering a significant part of Ukraine’s southern region.
Despite the enemy’s ambitious intentions, Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions and inflicting significant losses on the occupiers. Official representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are soberly assessing the movement vectors of enemy units.
To carry out its aggressive plans, the Kremlin is deploying massive human resources to the southern sector of the front. Up to 210,000 Russian troops are currently concentrated in this area.
However, despite the presence of such a significant enemy force, the Ukrainian military has managed to completely halt the occupiers’ advance across all southern operational sectors.
The training of fresh reserves to replenish losses is taking place directly in the occupied zone.
The Russians are actively forming new assault units at special training centers in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Donetsk regions, as well as in Crimea.
Once training is complete, these groups are immediately deployed to the front lines to carry out continuous attacks.
The situation is particularly dire in the Huliaipole sector, where the invaders are actively deploying their entire arsenal, including bomber aircraft.
Before launching infantry attacks, the occupiers deliver massive strikes on Ukrainian positions and firepower. They attempt to completely destroy the Defense Forces’ fortifications, after which they send their troops into battle.
