Russia has reinforced its forces along three axes in the southern operational zone, according to Syrsky
Russian troops have reinforced their positions in the Oleksandrivka, Huliaipole, and Orikhiv sectors. This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to Syrskyi, the situation on the front remains tense and dynamic.
He noted that in the Oleksandrivka sector, the Russian force comprises over 71,000 troops, while a comparable number of enemy forces are concentrated in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that active combat operations are ongoing on both sides.
“The enemy continues to ramp up its efforts. In the Oleksandrivka sector alone, the Russian force numbers over 71,000 troops. The enemy has concentrated roughly the same number of troops in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors. The situation remains dynamic—both Russian troops and the Ukrainian Defense Forces are engaged in active combat operations,” Syrskyi noted.
During the trip, he also held meetings with unit commanders, including those of the Airborne Assault Forces, and discussed the current operational situation, the results of combat missions, and further steps to strengthen positions.
Syrskyi supported the commanders’ initiatives regarding active operations and decided to provide the troops with additional equipment and ammunition.
The Commander-in-Chief separately emphasized that the safety of Ukrainian servicemen remains a key priority.
He also discussed with the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces the development and use of drones to strike the enemy at operational depth.
He shared this information on Facebook following an assessment of operations in units carrying out combat missions in the southern sector.
Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 1,571 targets of the Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours.
In May, the Ukrainian Defense Forces doubled the number of strikes on Russian targets at a distance of over 50 kilometers from the front line. At the same time, the enemy suffered heavy casualties, while the effectiveness of Ukrainian attacks and air defense operations increased significantly.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Group summarized the results of 358 days of operations and released data on verified losses of Russian troops inflicted by Ukrainian drones.
