Russia is carrying out up to 30 assaults in the south every day, despite claims of a ceasefire
Russia is maintaining a high intensity of combat operations on the southern sector of the front, carrying out 25 to 30 assaults per day despite its own statements regarding a ceasefire.
This was reported by Ukrinform, citing Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces. Specifically, on May 10, 32 combat engagements were recorded, most of which occurred in the Huliaipole sector.
Although the enemy has significantly reduced the use of aircraft, guided bombs, and Shahed-type drones, the intensity of other weapons remains critical. According to the spokesperson, the occupiers deploy up to 2,000 kamikaze drones daily and keep about 300 reconnaissance drones in the air. The number of “Shahed” strikes on populated areas has dropped from 150 to isolated incidents, but artillery shelling continues unabated.
The situation in the south indicates that the Russian Federation maintains a high level of combat activity and has no real intention of adhering to the ceasefire. The occupying forces continue their attempts to advance, despite a partial change in tactics and methods of fire. Ukrainian defense forces are holding their positions and continue to repel dozens of attacks carried out by the enemy every day.
The ceasefire announced for May 9–11 did not lead to a complete halt in hostilities on the front lines. Since the start of the day on May 10, the Russian occupying army has carried out 60 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, focusing its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
Russian occupiers attacked a civilian vehicle with a drone in the Mykolaiv district during the ceasefire.
