Syrsky discussed the situation in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector with the Charter command
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi made a working visit to the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, "Charter."
Currently, this unit is carrying out extremely complex defensive tasks in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, holding back the enemy’s advance.
During the visit, the general discussed the current situation on the outskirts of Kupiansk with the corps commander, Colonel Ihor Obolensky.
Particular attention was paid to issues of coordination between “Charter” and other units defending the area.
“During the working visit, we discussed with the corps commander, Colonel Ihor Obolensky, and the command staff the current situation on the outskirts of Kupiansk, issues of coordination with other units in the area of responsibility, their best practices, and proposals for action in changing conditions,” Oleksandr Syrskyi said.
The command identified a number of priority tasks, the foremost of which is effectively countering enemy drones.
They also discussed improving logistics routes and developing a system of fortifications and engineering barriers.
The Commander-in-Chief paid special attention to personnel training and the conduct of scheduled rotations.
It is important that servicemen on the front lines have the opportunity to recover their strength in a timely manner and receive full provision of everything necessary.
General Syrskyi emphasized that the most important aspect remains saving the lives of our soldiers. Corps leadership presented its proposals for adapting tactics to current challenges on this section of the front.
