Russia has struck Chuhuiv; there are casualties and damage to infrastructure
Five people—two civilian women and three law enforcement officers—were injured as a result of the Russian strike on Chuhuiv on March 31.
This was reported by the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Police.
According to law enforcement officials, two officers from the patrol police response unit, a security officer, and a 43-year-old woman with a severe traumatic brain injury were hospitalized. Another woman, aged 68, received medical care at the scene.
Chuhuiv Mayor Galina Minaeva reported that the attack damaged a critical infrastructure facility, a children’s institution, and about 15 private homes.
“All areas of the city that are currently without power will be reconnected within approximately two hours. The exception is the Druzhba neighborhood. Here, power will be restored after the area is inspected for explosive devices and the damage to the grid is repaired,” Minaeva noted.
In addition, Russian occupation forces launched a targeted strike on railway infrastructure facilities in the city of Sloviansk.
