Russia Strikes Oil Refinery in Kharkiv Region
On the night of April 8, Russian forces attacked the oil refinery in Merefa, Kharkiv region, using kamikaze drones. No casualties among people have been reported.
This was stated by Oleg Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
According to company representatives, this marks the fifth attack on the refinery since the full-scale invasion began. Despite significant damage, the enterprise does not plan to halt operations. The exact timeline for repairs is currently unknown, as the full extent of the destruction is still being assessed.
The attack also damaged civilian infrastructure — four residential buildings and three vehicles were hit.
Separately, on the morning of April 7, Russian forces carried out a targeted terrorist attack on civilians in the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. Among the injured was a one-and-a-half-year-old child. A Russian drone also struck a civilian vehicle in Nikopol during the attack.
