Russia is recruiting young women to kill soldiers — Vygivsky
Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have recorded six cases of premeditated murders of military personnel orchestrated by Russian intelligence services via popular messaging apps.
Thanks to the prompt actions of law enforcement, one such serious crime was prevented in time.
According to the head of the agency, the Russian Federation has recently been actively changing its methods of subversive activities and is increasingly involving underage girls in the commission of crimes.
The enemy is using teenagers to carry out murders of Ukrainian defenders in government-controlled territory.
“Since the beginning of 2026 alone, the National Police has recorded six cases of contract killings ordered via the Telegram messenger, one of which was successfully prevented. We see a clearly structured scheme that Russian handlers are following,” noted the head of the National Police.
Russian handlers recruit perpetrators remotely, using Telegram and other modern platforms for communication. Young women are promised easy money, and their every move is closely monitored during preparations for the crime.
The organizers cover all related expenses, including housing rent and the purchase of alcohol.
“Through Telegram and other messaging apps, they find girls, promise them easy money, and fully coordinate their actions remotely. Specifically, they assign tasks to find military personnel on dating sites and offer to spend time together, and to carry out the crime, the coordinators send funds for apartment rentals, alcohol purchases, and other expenses. And most importantly—the coordinators tell the women the locations of so-called stashes where they can obtain methadone,” explained Vyhovsky.
Later, during a romantic date, the perpetrators secretly add the dangerous narcotic drug methadone to the alcoholic beverages they serve to the servicemen. Such a dose proves fatal to the victim.
“In fact, these are premeditated murders organized by the special services of the aggressor state through the hands of Ukrainian citizens. The particular cynicism lies in the fact that to carry out their plans, the enemy uses young people who often do not fully realize the consequences or are hoping for quick money,” noted the head of the National Police.
Law enforcement has already documented several similar cases in various regions of Ukraine. In particular, in the Zhytomyr region, a 17-year-old girl was detained for carrying out the enemy’s deadly orders.
A similar criminal scheme involving two underage girls was uncovered and dismantled in Kharkiv.

In the Chernihiv region, a man was convicted of murdering a serviceman
As a reminder, a brazen attack on military personnel from the alert group took place in Vinnytsia. A man stabbed two representatives of the Territorial Defense Corps.
On March 31, an incident occurred between civilians and military personnel of the alert group in the village of Sosonka, Vinnytsia region.
Earlier, the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support launched an internal investigation into the use of weapons by a serviceman.
