Russia struck a high-rise building in Chernihiv with a drone
On August 24, a Russian attack drone struck a high-rise building in central Chernihiv, causing a fire. According to the latest reports, eight people were injured, including a child; there are no reported fatalities at this time.

According to Dmitry Bryzhinsky, head of the Municipal Administration, Russia struck a high-rise building.
“A fire broke out; information about the casualties is being verified,” he wrote.
An air raid alert was in effect in the Chernihiv district starting at 11:40 a.m.
As the head of the Municipal Emergency Service later clarified, all emergency services are currently working at the site of the strike, and the fire is being extinguished, but the process is complicated by heavy smoke at the site.
“There are casualties; details are being confirmed,” he noted.
As of 12:22 p.m., according to the Chernihiv City Council, there are reports of eight casualties, one of whom is a child.
According to Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, as of 12:23 p.m., the fire at the site of the strike has been contained.
“All casualties are receiving assistance. Preliminary reports indicate there are no fatalities as a result of the attack,” wrote the head of the Municipal Military Administration.
As of 12:36 p.m., the number of injured had risen to 14, including two children aged 12 and 17. Three people were hospitalized, and another 11 sustained minor injuries—they were treated on site. This was reported by Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.

Earlier, drones attacked Ozon logistics centers in two regions of Russia at once.
Drones also struck Krasnodar, causing a fire at a warehouse.
Earlier, warehouses caught fire in Akulovo, near Moscow.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones reached the Arkhangelsk region—located approximately 1,900 km from the border with Ukraine—for the first time. Their target may have been the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia’s only active military spaceport.
