Russia lost 1,300 troops in a single day in the war against Ukraine
As of April 2, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have reached approximately 1,300,030 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, another 1,300 soldiers were lost.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
According to updated data, the Russian Federation’s army has also lost:

- 24,334 (+7) armored combat vehicles
- 39,228 (+59) artillery systems
- 1,713 (+1) multiple launch rocket systems
- 1,338 (+0) air defense systems
- 435 (+0) aircraft
- 350 (+0) helicopters
- 213,393 (+2,497) tactical-level UAVs
- 4,491 (+0) cruise missiles
- 33 (+0) ships and boats
- 2 (+0) submarines
- 86,773 (+195) vehicles and tankers
- 4,107 (+0) units of specialized equipment

The General Staff notes that these figures are subject to change.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported the successful repulsion of a Russian offensive in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration area.
During a counteroffensive in the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian troops liberated 9 settlements and completely cleared 3 more of Russian occupiers.
From January 1 to March 26, 2026, Russian troops lost 89,000 personnel on the front lines, including those killed and seriously wounded.
