Russia launched drones at Ukraine from seven directions; air defense forces shot down 130 drones
On the night of March 26, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack on Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed or intercepted 130 enemy drones.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.
According to military sources, the enemy deployed 153 strike UAVs of various types, including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” and other drones. About 100 of them were “Shaheds.” The attack was launched simultaneously from seven directions.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 08:00, the destruction or neutralization of 130 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country has been confirmed.
At the same time, 16 strike drones were recorded hitting 11 locations, and debris from downed targets was found in five locations.
“The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs are in the airspace. Follow safety guidelines,” the Air Force emphasized.
In the Odesa region, port, energy, and industrial infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of a nighttime Russian attack.
On March 25, Russian forces launched drone strikes on Kharkiv. Hits were recorded in the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi districts of the city.
In Vinnytsia, the number of casualties from the Russian drone attack on March 24 rose to 20 people, seven of whom were hospitalized.
In the Chernihiv district, an energy facility was damaged as a result of the enemy attack, causing a power outage for consumers. Approximately 150,000 customers in the city of Chernihiv and the Chernihiv district were left without power.
On March 24, Russian occupiers carried out a massive attack on western regions of Ukraine using kamikaze drones. In Lviv, one of the drones struck a building in the city center, causing a fire.
This attack was part of a large-scale air offensive by the Russian Federation that on March 24 swept across several regions of Ukraine, including critical infrastructure facilities in the rear regions.
