Russia carried out 518 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours

On August 23, Russian troops carried out 518 strikes on 38 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of the attacks, three people were injured, and 47 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure were recorded.

 

This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

According to him, Russian troops carried out 11 airstrikes on Vasylkiv, Yulivka, Yurkivka, Preobrazhenka, Vasylivske, Tymoshivka, Myrivka, Omelnyk, and Mykilsk.

The Russians carried out another 384 strikes using various types of drones, primarily FPV drones. The following areas came under attack: Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Komyshuvakha, Kyrpotyne, Rozumivka, Hryhorivka, Veselyanka, Zapasne, Novoyakovlivka, Magdalynivka, Novooleksandrivka, Myrolyubivka, Baburka, Stepnogorsk, Plavni, Primorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukyanivske, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Preobrazhenka, Mala Tokmachka, Chervona Krynytsia, Omelnyk, and Vasynivka.

One rocket attack on Malokaterynivka using a multiple-launch rocket system was also recorded. In addition, Russian troops carried out 122 artillery strikes on Malokaterynivka, Chervonodniprovka, Hryhorivka, Richne, Veselyanka, Zapasne, Novoyakovlivka, Stepnogorsk, Plavni, Primorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukyanivske, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Preobrazhenka, Mala Tokmachka, Chervona Krynytsia, Omelnyk, and Vasynivka.

Over the past 24 hours, 47 reports were received regarding damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.

As a reminder, drones attacked Ozon logistics centers in two regions of the Russian Federation simultaneously.

Earlier, warehouses caught fire in Akulovo, near Moscow.

As a reminder, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones reached the Arkhangelsk region—located approximately 1,900 km from the border with Ukraine—for the first time. Their target may have been the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia’s only operational military spaceport.

Robert Brovdi (call sign “Madyar”), commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, reported on August 23 on the results of operations against Russian terrorist targets.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out localized counterattacks and advanced in several sectors of the front. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian forces halted the Russian advance in the Kozacha Lopana area and also achieved successes near Kostiantynivka and in the Zaporizhzhia region.
