Russia has struck the Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center in Kyiv again; there is damage

On the night of September 29, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones. One of the strikes again hit the “Parkovy” Convention and Exhibition Center.

As a result of the attack, the convention and exhibition center building sustained serious damage. Traces of fire remained both inside and outside the building.

Footage showing the aftermath of the strike was published by local Telegram channels. Journalist Andriy Tsaplienko also shared photos and videos.

“After the nighttime shelling and fire, the ‘Parkovy’ Convention and Exhibition Center building sustained serious damage. There are signs of fire both inside and outside, so it seems we can forget about holding events here anytime soon. Such are the realities of life in the capital,” Tsaplienko captioned the photos.

It is noted that just three days ago, the administration of the “Parkovy” Exhibition and Convention Center announced the temporary suspension of the complex’s operations due to the consequences of Russian attacks.

Following the latest strike, the building sustained additional damage, particularly from a fire that broke out after the nighttime attack.

Around 2:00 a.m., following a rocket attack on Kyiv, the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported a fire in the Pecherskyi district.

According to him, the fire broke out in a three-story non-residential building.

The “Parkovy” Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the Pechersk district, and this is not the first time it has suffered the consequences of Russian attacks.

Currently, the “Parkovy” Congress and Exhibition Center remains temporarily closed, and the building requires an assessment of the extent of the damage and restoration work.

On September 29, during an air raid alert in Ternopil, the sounds of explosions were heard. Shortly before that, residents had been warned about a Russian jet-powered drone in the area.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in several buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.

Following Russia’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
