Russia attacked Odesa with drones and damaged an apartment building

On the night of August 12, Russian troops attacked Odesa with strike drones. A multi-unit residential building was damaged as a result of the enemy attack.

The explosion damaged an apartment located on the fifth floor of the five-story building. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or injuries.

“Fortunately, the residents were not at home at the time. So far, no reports of casualties have been received. All emergency and utility services are working on site. An emergency operations center has been set up,” said Serhiy Lysak, head of the Military Administration.

Specialists are continuing to inspect the damaged building and address the aftermath of the shelling, as well as providing necessary assistance to the building’s residents.

In the Odesa region, traffic to border crossings with Moldova has been restricted due to the Russian attack.

As a reminder, Moldova may face an acute electricity shortage.

June’s heatwave in Europe led to significant losses in agriculture. The cost of the destroyed grain crops is estimated at more than 2 billion euros, with farmers in France and Hungary suffering the most.
