Russia launched an attack on Ukraine with 147 drones; air defense forces shot down 121 of them

Ukraine's air defense forces shot down 121 of the 147 drones used by Russian forces to attack the country on the night of March 25.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.

According to the military, the attack began at 7:00 p.m. on March 24. The enemy used Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas strike UAVs, as well as other types of drones. The launches were carried out from the directions of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), and Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea). More than 80 of them were Shaheds.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.

As of 08:30, the destruction or neutralization of 121 enemy drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine has been confirmed.

At the same time, 24 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 18 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at three additional locations.

The attack is ongoing—enemy drones remain in the airspace. Citizens are urged not to ignore air raid sirens and to follow safety guidelines.

In the Izmail district of the Odesa region, one person was killed and another injured as a result of the Russian attack.

On March 24, Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on western regions of Ukraine using kamikaze drones. In Lviv, one of the drones struck a building in the city center, causing a fire.

This attack was part of a large-scale air assault by the Russian Federation that on March 24 swept across several regions of Ukraine, including critical infrastructure facilities in the rear regions.
