Russia attacked Ukraine with more than a hundred drones; 88 targets were neutralized

Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight, launching 108 attack drones of various types. Among them, 47 were jet-powered.

What did the enemy use in the attack?

The Russians launched “Shahed”-type UAVs, “Gerber” drones, and “Parody”-type decoy drones from the following locations: Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Donetsk Oblast, and the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea—Gvardeyskoye. 

How did the air defense perform?

As of 08:00, air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 88 enemy Shahed-type UAVs, Gerber drones, and other types of drones.

At the same time, airstrikes were recorded at 11 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 5 locations.

The Russian attack is currently ongoing, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace.

In Kyiv, traffic across bridges was restricted following the nighttime attack.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupation forces carried out 741 strikes on 51 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. 

In Pavlohrad, on the evening of October 1, Russian troops attacked the administrative building of the DTEK coal enterprise. One employee was injured as a result of the strike.

A fire broke out in Pavlohrad as a result of the Russian attack. The administrative building in the central part of the city caught fire.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in residential buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.

Following a nighttime attack by Russia on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
