More than 1,500 km of anti-drone defenses have been installed on Ukraine's roads
In September, anti-drone defenses were installed along approximately 170 km of roads. Since the beginning of 2026, more than 1,560 km of such defenses have already been installed along key logistics routes, according to the State Special Transport Service (SSTS).
The work is being carried out by the State Special Transport Service on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
Throughout September, nearly 170 km of roads in frontline regions were additionally equipped with anti-drone structures, and over 106 km of highways were repaired.
Restoration work has been ongoing since April. During this period, routine repairs and maintenance were carried out on more than 660 km of roads. Currently, work is continuing on eight sections, while another 50 have already been completed.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on October 2.
Earlier, Zelenskyy reported that Putin had ordered the military to lift restrictions on strikes against civilian targets in Ukraine.
Russia may have used a new 40-kilogram warhead during the strike on the South Bridge in Kyiv. According to the ISW, Russian forces may be using cumulative charges on long-range drones to strike large, fortified targets.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupation forces carried out 741 strikes on 51 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.
