Russia has struck the Sumy region nearly 50 times; there is one fatality and several people have been injured

Over the course of 24 hours—from the morning of October 6 to the morning of October 7—Russian troops carried out nearly 50 strikes on 24 settlements in 12 territorial communities of Sumy Oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The Russian strikes resulted in civilian casualties, including both fatalities and injuries. The occupiers used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.

In the Sumy community, a 40-year-old man was killed and a 43-year-old woman was injured as a result of a Russian drone strike.

A 16-year-old boy and two women, aged 27 and 46, were injured when a UAV struck an apartment building. Two girls, aged 7 and 14, also experienced acute stress reactions.

A 57-year-old woman also suffered an acute stress reaction after a drone struck her yard.

In addition, two women, aged 53 and 69, who were injured on October 2 as a result of Russian strikes on the Sumy community, sought medical attention.

In the community, apartment buildings, non-residential premises, an educational institution, a shopping center, a civilian infrastructure facility, private homes, and vehicles were damaged.

In the Sveska community, a 51-year-old man was killed on October 4 when a Russian drone struck the area.

A 33-year-old woman who was injured on October 4 when a UAV struck in that community also sought medical attention.

Private residential buildings in the Sveska community were destroyed and damaged by previous strikes carried out by Russian forces.

In the Seredyna-Budsk community, a 41-year-old man was injured when a drone struck a house.

A 61-year-old man, who was injured on October 5 as a result of mortar shelling, also sought medical attention.

As a result of the attacks, private residential buildings and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged in the community.

In the Berezivka community, Russian strikes damaged private residential homes, a farm building, and a civilian infrastructure facility.

In the Shostka, Esman, Shalygyn, and Sveska communities, private residential buildings were destroyed and damaged as a result of previous attacks by Russian forces.

In the Hlukhiv community, a non-residential building was damaged, and in the Zno-Novgorod community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked 24 settlements in the Sumy region across 12 territorial communities.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Facebook.

Over the past day, Russian troops struck the Mykolaiv region with attack UAVs and FPV drones. As a result of the attacks, two people were injured, and a recreational complex, a house, and a car were damaged.

As a reminder, at least two people were killed in Kyiv as a result of a nighttime attack.

Russia struck Zaporizhzhia’s transportation infrastructure.

Russia also struck Dnipro with ballistic missiles, damaging a facility.
