Russia increases production of maritime drones for mass attacks

The Russian Federation is actively developing and modernising unmanned maritime systems in preparation for the mass use of these devices against Ukrainian infrastructure, reports RBC-Ukraine.

According to intelligence, the enemy plans to move from isolated attempts to systematic strikes in the Black Sea.

Currently, the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) has not recorded any successful use of these systems that would have a significant combat effect.

Nevertheless, the adversary continues to invest resources in developing new types of drones, attempting to catch up with Ukraine in this technological niche.

A particular threat comes from the “Triton” type, whose technical characteristics allow speeds of up to 100 km/h. These drones are likely being prepared for attacks on civilian shipping and critical port infrastructure in Ukraine.

The enemy’s plans to scale up production appear ambitious and pose a serious regional security threat.

“At the same time, existing production plans (including up to 40 units of the ‘Skat’ type per month) indicate the adversary’s intention to move to a tactic of mass deployment,” military intelligence representatives said.

For reference, HUR has previously declassified information on 39 enterprises of the Russian Kalashnikov concern, as well as a list of Russian factories producing drones for strikes against Ukraine.
