Russia is reinforcing reserves near Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, preparing a new offensive
In the area of the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration in the Donetsk Oblast, signs have been detected that Russian forces are preparing to intensify assault operations.
According to Ukraine’s Defence Forces, the enemy is moving reserves and strengthening its grouping in this direction, which may indicate plans to launch a new phase of offensive operations in the near future.
The “East” Group of Forces reported this on Facebook.
“The situation in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration remains difficult. Signs of the enemy preparing to intensify offensive actions with the involvement of accumulated reserves have been observed. The enemy is increasing the number of air strikes and the use of other firepower assets,” the statement said.
It is noted that since the beginning of the day, on the Pokrovsk axis, Russian forces have attempted 10 times to push Ukrainian troops from their positions in the areas of Nykonorivka, Rodynske, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske and towards Chervonyi Lyman. Four clashes are still ongoing.
According to the “East” Group of Forces, the enemy is concentrating efforts in particular on attempts to advance in the area of Hryshyne, trying to break into its central part while simultaneously assaulting the settlement from the north and south.
In addition, Russian forces are attempting to fully seize Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Ukrainian units are holding positions on the northern outskirts of these settlements.
