Russia has established a network of drone bases near Belarus to launch strikes against Ukraine
Russia has deployed at least five launch sites for attack drones near the border with Belarus and is actively using them to launch attacks on Ukraine.
As journalists have discovered, the facilities are located in the Bryansk, Oryol, and Smolensk regions. Most of them were built or significantly expanded after the summer of 2024.
The largest complex is located near the village of Tsymbulova in the Oryol region. According to the investigation, at least 12 launchers are operational there, and hundreds of drones can be stored simultaneously.
Other identified sites include the Shatalovo and Seshcha airfields, a base near Navli, and a new complex near Asovitsa in the Bryansk region, located just 35 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
According to Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat, during large-scale attacks, most Russian drones fly over Belarusian territory.

Ukraine’s air defense forces have shot down 249 of the 272 drones that Russian troops have launched into the country’s territory since the evening of June 5.
Since the evening, Russian troops have carried out nearly 30 attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region, using drones and artillery. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and three others were wounded.
