Russia strikes Vilniansk with a drone, married couple killed
On the night of 6 February, Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine. This time, a drone struck the city of Vilniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, a married couple was killed as a result of the attack. The victims—a 49-year-old man and his 48-year-old wife—were at home at the time of the strike. That same evening, injuries were also reported in the private residential sector of Zaporizhzhia.
In addition, enemy strikes in the Zaporizhzhia region caused power outages, leaving thousands of residents without electricity. Repair crews are ready to begin restoration work but will only be able to access the affected sites once the security situation stabilises.
On the evening of 5 February, Russian forces launched attack drones across Ukraine. Enemy UAVs were recorded in several regions, moving towards cities and areas in central, eastern, and northern parts of the country. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the threat and continues to monitor their movement.
