Russia launched KAB strikes on Kharkiv, resulting in injuries to children
On the night of June 19, Russian troops launched a strike with guided aerial bombs on the Kholodnogorsk district of Kharkiv. The attack sparked a fire, and there are casualties, including three children who suffered acute stress reactions.
The first reports of the attack emerged around 3:49 a.m.—at that time, Terekhov reported that the Russian army had struck the Kholodnohirskyi district with guided bombs. Details were still being clarified at that point. By 4:33 a.m., the mayor clarified that the KAB strikes had damaged about 15 private residential buildings and a warehouse. Later, that number rose to more than 40 buildings.
According to Terekhov, as of now, there are six casualties and over 40 damaged private homes in the Kholodnohirskyi district.
Oleg Sinehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, in turn, reported five casualties, including three children. Two 11-year-old girls and a 14-year-old boy suffered acute stress reactions. The discrepancy in the number of casualties between officials’ reports is due to the fact that details about the attack are still being clarified.
A fire also broke out in the area as a result of the strike. Emergency services are currently working to extinguish it.

As a reminder, in Kherson, Russian forces attacked a bus and an ambulance, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. The State Emergency Service has released the names of the rescuers who died as a result of the strike on Kharkiv.
