Russia is improving its drone control systems: Flash described the new system

The Russian military continues to advance its drone technology. According to Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the President of Ukraine on defense technology development, a new instance has been recorded of “Molniya” drones being controlled via the “Gerbera” system, which were previously incompatible.

The expert noted that the MESH modems on the “Molniya” and “Shahid” (“Gerbera”) drones are manufactured by the same Chinese company and operate in the same frequency band, but were previously incompatible with each other due to licensing restrictions.

“Today we have the first instance of controlling ‘Molniya’ drones via ‘Gerbera,’” he said.

Flash noted that this change was expected.

“I’m simply asking everyone to take note of this fact. This approach will likely become more widespread. If necessary, we’ll take out ‘Gerbera,’ and the ‘Molniya’ systems will fall on their own,” the expert emphasized.

As a reminder, air defense forces have neutralized 156 Russian air targets since this evening.
