Video: Drones Attacked the Ulyanovsk Region of the Russian Federation; a Large-Scale Fire Broke Out
On the night of July 23, drones attacked the Ulyanovsk region of Russia. The strike may have hit an NS-Oil liquefied gas facility in the village of Novospasskoye, where a large-scale fire broke out.
As of the time of publication, there was no official confirmation regarding which specific facility was attacked.
Videos and photos have been posted online showing a fierce fire and thick black smoke rising above the site of the suspected strike.
The extent of the potential damage is currently unknown.
At around 3:00 a.m., an air raid alert was issued in the region due to the threat of drones.
In response to the attack at Ulyanovsk Airport, Rosaviatsiya implemented Plan “Kilim,” which imposes temporary flight restrictions.
Local authorities have not officially commented on the attack or its consequences.
NS-Oil LLC (OOO “NS-Oil”) is a private Russian oil refining company located in the village of Novospasskoye in the Ulyanovsk Region of the Russian Federation.
The company’s main activities include the production of liquid fuels (gasoline, diesel, and other petroleum fractions), as well as the storage and shipment of petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The liquefied gas facility is part of the “NS-Oil” production complex. It is used for:
- storing LPG (propane-butane);
- storing fuel products;
- shipping products to consumers by road.
Such facilities are part of the fuel and energy infrastructure and are vital for ensuring the region’s fuel supply.
