Russia launched massive strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding area; there are casualties
Two people were killed as a result of Russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. Seven more residents were wounded in the attacks by the Russian military.
In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 913 strikes on 52 settlements in the region.
Scale of shelling by type of weaponry:
- Airstrikes: 19 strikes were recorded on the regional capital and frontline communities.
- Drones: 678 UAVs of various types (primarily FPV drones) attacked residential areas and infrastructure.
- MLRS: One attack by multiple launch rocket systems was recorded.
- Artillery: The enemy carried out 215 strikes on frontline areas.
In addition to human casualties, the operational headquarters received 78 reports of damage to residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, vehicles, and farm buildings. Specialized services are working at the sites of the strikes.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
As a reminder, air defense forces have shot down 156 Russian air targets since this evening.
