Since this evening, air defense forces have neutralized 156 Russian air targets
Since the evening of July 22, Ukraine’s air defense forces have destroyed 156 Russian military aircraft. Among them were two guided air-to-ground missiles and 154 drones; at the same time, 11 enemy targets were confirmed to have been hit at several locations.
According to reports, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, Russian invaders launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile at Ukraine, five X-59/69 air-to-ground guided missiles, and 168 “Shahed”-type attack drones, including jet-powered drones, “Gerbera” drones, “Italmas” drones, and “Parody”-type decoy drones.
The missiles were launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea, and the drones from areas near the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the temporarily occupied cities of Gvardeysk (Crimea) and Donetsk.
The enemy attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, air defense forces in the north, south, and east of the country shot down or jammed two enemy Kh-59/69 air-to-ground missiles and 154 drones of various types, including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and “Italmas.”
Ballistic and three guided air-to-ground missiles fired by the Russian army, as well as seven of its strike drones, were recorded as having struck nine locations; at four other locations, debris from downed targets was found.
