Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv overnight; there are casualties

On the night of September 1, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Kyiv, resulting in fatalities. A series of powerful explosions rocked the capital, and emergency services are on the scene at the impact sites.

 

The Air Force issued warnings about high-speed targets heading toward the capital, specifically in the direction of Voronkov, as well as about a missile in the south of the Kyiv region. Immediately after the warnings, a series of explosions was heard in Kyiv.

At the same time, the movement of “Kalibr” cruise missiles, launched from the Black Sea toward the north, was detected.

Later, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that a fire had been detected in a non-residential area of the Dnipro district.

Early this morning, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that three people had been killed as a result of the enemy attack on the capital. Five people are also known to have been injured.

Furthermore, reports of a fire in a residential building in the Dnipro district have not been confirmed.

There were 225 combat engagements on the front lines over the past 24 hours, according to the General Staff.

In Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out in a non-residential building as a result of a Russian drone attack. Emergency services are on the scene, dealing with the aftermath of the strike.

In Kyiv, rescue workers extinguished a large-scale fire that broke out in the Holosiivskyi district following a Russian attack on the morning of August 30. The fire engulfed a non-residential building covering an area of approximately 3,000 square meters; there were no casualties or injuries.
