Russia launched another ballistic strike on Kyiv
On the night of July 14, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. After a series of explosions in the Holosiivskyi district, large-scale fires broke out at two locations at once, and emergency services are working on the spot.
An air alert was declared in Kyiv at 00:15. Within a minute, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the reason was the threat of the use of ballistic weapons by Russian troops, and called on residents of the capital to immediately go to the nearest shelters and remain there until the official signal to stop.
At 00:16, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of a missile moving towards the capital, publishing the message: “Missile to Kyiv!” The next minute, the military reported that the missiles were over the territory of the Chernihiv region and were moving towards the Kyiv region.
Shortly after that, explosions were heard in Kyiv. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko confirmed that the Russian army is attacking the capital with ballistic missiles, and urged Kyiv residents not to leave their shelters until the air raid alert is over.
At 00:31, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported fires at two addresses in the Holosiivskyi district. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
Later, at 00:39, the KMVA reported another consequence of the Russian attack. In the Darnytskyi district, cars caught fire as a result of an enemy strike.
Information about the extent of damage, possible casualties, and the cause of the fires is being clarified. Rescuers and other specialized services are working on the ground.

As a reminder, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in the Russian city of Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region. It is at this airbase that the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces are based, which are used for both combat and training missions.
