Russians attacked Odesa: a building was damaged, and there are casualties
On the afternoon of July 21, Russian troops launched yet another attack on Odesa. The attack damaged a residential building, and two people were injured.
According to preliminary reports, there are casualties. They are receiving the necessary medical care.
Emergency services are on the scene. Rescuers are dealing with the aftermath of the attack, and information regarding the extent of the damage and the number of casualties is being verified.
"The enemy launched a combined missile and drone strike on the region.
Civilian infrastructure in central Odesa—including residential buildings and public institutions—has been damaged,” said Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
As of 12:20 p.m., two people are known to have been injured in the city as a result of the enemy attack.
"They are a 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old girl. They are receiving all necessary medical care," said Serhiy Lysak, head of the Municipal Emergency Service.
It later became known that civilian infrastructure in central Odesa was damaged: the facade and windows of a four-story residential building and adjacent structures. Passenger cars parked nearby were also damaged.
In the Odesa district, a private residential building was damaged by the shock wave from a rocket strike.
This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Military Administration.
As a reminder, on July 19 and 20, Russian troops carried out limited attempts to advance in the north of the Sumy region but were unsuccessful. The occupiers continue to try to create so-called buffer zones in border areas.
The Russian army is facing difficulties in replenishing its personnel, as the rate of recruitment of contract soldiers no longer compensates for losses on the front lines.
