Russians attacked a railway repair crew in the Donetsk region

In the Donetsk region, Russian troops attacked a railway repair crew with a drone. One Ukrzaliznytsia employee was killed in the strike, and two others were injured. The attack took place on July 27. Russian occupiers struck workers who were carrying out repair work on railway infrastructure.

The tragedy occurred while the repair crew was restoring an infrastructure facility damaged by the occupiers.

"The Russians—ed.—aimed a 'Shahed' rocket directly at the railroad workers." Dispatchers reported a critical danger, and most of the workers evacuated. But, unfortunately, one of our track workers sustained a fatal injury during the explosion,” Pertsovskyi noted.

He added that two more of the deceased’s colleagues sustained shrapnel wounds.

“We are currently investigating all the circumstances in detail to determine what prevented us from saving our colleague’s life despite the warning,” concluded the chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia.
