Russians shelled the Kharkiv region; five people were injured

Over the course of September 19, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv and 12 other towns and villages in the region. Five people were injured, including a 14-year-old boy. The most damage was reported in Balakliya, Barvinkove, Izyum, and Derhachi.

 

Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported on the consequences of the Russian attacks. “Over the past 24 hours, the city of Kharkiv and 12 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under enemy attack. Five people were injured as a result of the shelling, including a child,” he said.

Two people were injured in Balakliya. A 14-year-old boy suffered an acute stress reaction. A 19-year-old man was also injured. In Dergachi, a 32-year-old woman was injured. In Zolochiv, a 72-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. Another casualty was a 50-year-old man from Izyum.

How Russia Attacked the Kharkiv Region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have used various types of weapons against the Kharkiv region. Kharkiv was attacked with drones. Strikes hit the Slobidskyi and Industrial districts of the city.

 

In total, according to the Regional Military Administration, the Russians used two missiles, two multiple-launch rocket systems, three “Molniya”-type drones, eight FPV drones, and 11 additional UAVs, the type of which has not yet been identified. As a result of these attacks, residential buildings, cars, stores, outbuildings, and infrastructure facilities sustained damage.

What damage was reported in the region

In the Bohodukhiv district, a car, two private homes, and outbuildings were damaged. Power lines in Zolochiv were also damaged. In the Kupiansk district, a car was damaged in the village of Troitske. Significant damage was recorded in the Izyum district. In Balakliya, five private homes, two stores, two outbuildings, a garage, and an administrative building were damaged. Railway infrastructure was also damaged.

 

In Barvinkove, shelling damaged two cars and two stores. In Izyum, two private homes, two cars, and a farm building were damaged. In the Kharkiv district, two cars, a private home, and a store in Derhachi were damaged. Another car was damaged in the village of Bilashi.

In the Lozova District, a private home in the village of Vyshneve was damaged. Power lines in the village of Blyznyuky were also damaged as a result of the strikes. In the Chuhuiv District, two private homes, a cultural center, an educational institution, and a bus in the village of Artemivka were damaged. Thus, over the past 24 hours, Russian strikes have hit residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, transportation, and power lines. Five people were injured, including a child.

The threat of new Russian attacks persists in the Kharkiv region, so local authorities are urging residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to take shelter during shelling. This was reported on Telegram by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Russian troops attacked the Zaporizhzhia region 928 times over the past 24 hours. One person was killed and three others were wounded as a result of strikes on the Zaporizhzhia district. Fifty-five settlements in the region came under fire.

Russian forces attacked a monastery in the village of Chervonyi Mayak, in the Novorayska community of the Kherson region, using a drone. A 71-year-old clergyman was killed in the strike, and four other priests were injured.
