The Russians have intensified their attacks near Vovchansk
For about a week, Russian troops have been trying to find weaknesses in the Ukrainian forces’ defenses in the Vovchanska community of Kharkiv Oblast. The occupying forces are attacking the positions of Ukrainian defenders and attempting to expand their area of control.
This was stated by Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service.
According to him, the Russians are specifically attacking the positions of border guards. At the same time, the enemy has not achieved any significant success in this area.
Demchenko noted that the occupiers’ activity in the Vovchanska community has been observed since the beginning of the year, particularly in the direction of Digtyarne. Currently, Russian troops are attempting to advance with the support of intense shelling, which is intended to create conditions for infantry assaults.
The State Border Guard Service spokesperson also reported increased activity by Russian forces in the Vilkhuvatska community. He did not rule out that the occupiers’ actions could be part of preparations for a further advance.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military is inflicting significant losses on the enemy. According to Demchenko, Russian units are attempting to penetrate Ukrainian defensive lines but are suffering casualties—both killed and wounded—and some of the occupiers are being taken prisoner.
Ukrainian forces also continue to strike at Russian logistics and weapons systems that the enemy uses to attack Ukrainian territory.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a warehouse belonging to a local company caught fire after debris from a downed Russian strike drone fell on it. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional military administration.
Over the past 24 hours, 15 private homes were damaged in the Mykolaiv region as a result of attacks by Russian Shahed-type strike drones. A social services building and three cars were also damaged, according to Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Head Heorhiy Reshetilov.
