A 16-year-old teenager in Crimea has been charged with terrorism

Russian security forces in occupied Sevastopol detained a 16-year-old local resident and accused him of allegedly participating in a “terrorist organization.”

According to the occupying authorities, in February 2026, the teenager subscribed to Telegram channels, communicated in group chats, and filled out an application to join an organization that Russia considers banned.

After that, he allegedly photographed various sites in Sevastopol. He was subsequently detained by the FSB.

The teenager’s name and his status in the case have not been disclosed. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison.

A 15-year-old schoolgirl in Russia was sentenced to 7 years for setting a gas station on fire.

Earlier, the Russian occupation authorities sentenced a 24-year-old resident of the Donetsk region to 14 years in a maximum-security prison for allegedly passing information to Ukrainian intelligence about the location of Russian troops in the Donetsk region.

Previously, two residents of the Kramatorsk district were found guilty of treason and sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
