The Russians have stepped up their offensive in the Huliaipole area

Since the start of the day, Russian troops have carried out 69 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The situation is most tense in the Huliaipole sector, where the occupiers have launched more than two dozen assaults. High enemy activity also persists in the Pokrovsk and Lyman sectors.

The Russian army continues offensive operations along virtually the entire front line. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 4:00 p.m., 69 combat engagements have been recorded since the start of the day. The enemy has concentrated most of its attacks on the Huliaipole sector, where Ukrainian troops are forced to repel particularly intense pressure.

In addition to combat operations on the front lines, Russian troops have not ceased shelling border areas. Dozens of settlements in the Sumy region came under fire during the day, including Neskuchne, Tovstodubove, Korenok, Rohizne, Volfyne, Zhuravka, Ulanove, Atynske, Bachivsk, and others. Strikes were also carried out on the city of Sumy itself.

In the Chernihiv region, the Russians shelled Bohdanove, Senkivka, and Arkhipivka. The occupiers also used aviation for attacks on the Sumy region. In particular, strikes were carried out on the areas of Nova Sloboda and Hirky.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian troops carried out one assault attack. At the same time, the enemy opened fire 36 times on Ukrainian positions and border settlements, five of which were strikes from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted twice to improve its positions near Staritsa and Lyman. As of today, one of these attacks was still ongoing. Meanwhile, in the Kupiansky direction, Russian troops have not yet conducted active assault operations. The situation in the Lyman sector remains quite tense. Here, the enemy has already attacked Ukrainian positions 11 times in the areas of Zarichne, Lyman, Novoselivka, Serednye, Drobysheve, Ozernoye, and Torske. Some of the combat clashes were still ongoing at the time of the General Staff’s report.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops have attempted to advance toward Zakytne and Kryva Luka four times. Another attack is ongoing in the Kramatorsk direction, where the enemy is attempting to advance toward Fedorivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers carried out ten assaults. Fighting is ongoing near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Ivanopil, Hruzke, and Vilne. Russian troops continue to look for opportunities to advance but are meeting resistance from Ukrainian defenders. The pressure is also not letting up in the Pokrovsk direction. Here, the enemy attempted 16 times throughout the day to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. Fighting is taking place in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Kotlyne, and Udachne.

The Russians carried out two more attacks in the Oleksandrivka sector, near Zlagoda. However, the most difficult situation is currently unfolding in the Huliaipole sector. There, the occupiers have already carried out 21 attacks. Assaults are taking place near Rybne, Vozdvizhivka, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Rivnopillia, Varvarivka, Hirke, and Myrne. As of the afternoon, four combat engagements were still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out one attack toward Shcherbakiv. In the Dnipro direction, Russian troops have not yet conducted active offensive operations.

The General Staff emphasizes that Ukrainian forces continue to repel the enemy’s advance along the entire front line and are striking at its forces and rear areas. The Armed Forces of Ukraine note that the Defense Forces continue to wear down the Russian army and prevent it from carrying out its plans. “The Ukrainian Defense Forces are wearing down the invaders along the entire line of contact and in the rear,” the General Staff emphasized. Despite the high intensity of the fighting, Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions and repel the enemy’s attempts to advance. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

Russian troops carried out nearly 30 attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region, using drones and artillery. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and three others were wounded.

In Zaporizhzhia, authorities reported a new type of attack in which a Russian “Shahed” drone allegedly delivers FPV drones directly to the city center and drops them on civilian targets. Officials report a change in the enemy’s tactics and an increased threat to the city.
