Community head Mykola Riznyk described the consequences of the attack in a video address. According to him, not a single gas station in the community survived the attack. “Last night, the enemy struck all of our gas stations with ‘Shahed’ drones. Unfortunately, it is impossible to restore them,” said Riznyk.
In addition to the gas stations, Russian drones damaged four residential properties. According to preliminary information, no one was injured. The community head urged residents whose homes were damaged to contact the village council. This should be done if representatives of the relevant commission have not yet arrived, so that the damage can be officially documented and people can receive assistance. “I want to address residents living near gas stations: if the commission has not reached you yet, please contact the village council to receive assistance and have your damage documented,” Riznyk noted.
He also stated that the attacks on fuel infrastructure are systematic in nature. According to the community leader, Russian troops initially targeted gas stations in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, and now the attacks have reached the Poltava region. “I think the entire region will soon be left without gas stations,” Riznyk said.
For now, community residents will have to factor in the consequences of the destruction of gas stations when planning their trips. At the same time, local authorities continue to assess the damage from the nighttime attack and work to assist those affected. As a reminder, a gas station and a business were damaged as a result of the Russian Federation’s attack on the Poltava region.
In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of the attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 soldiers and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
