A Russian howitzer that was trying to escape was destroyed in Kursk Oblast
The Ukrainian Defense Forces detected and destroyed a Russian 152-mm “Msta-S” self-propelled artillery system in the Sudzha District of the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation. According to military sources, the enemy vehicle attempted to change its position but was unable to evade the strike.
The operation was carried out by fighters from the “Dovbush’s Hornets” unit, who tracked down the howitzer and delivered a precision strike against it. The destruction of the enemy system was captured on video.
As seen in the released footage, after the initial strike by an FPV drone, the Russians attempted to hide their howitzer inside a partially destroyed building; but Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance tracked its escape route, after which the enemy self-propelled gun was struck a second time and destroyed.
“An artillery reconnaissance battery detected it, and the ‘Dovbush’s Hornets’ unmanned systems battalion skillfully destroyed the Russian self-propelled howitzer that had been shelling Ukrainian positions. A precision strike, burning wreckage, and one less enemy artillery unit,” reported the 68th Airborne Brigade.
A video of its destruction was published on the Telegram channel of the 68th Oleksa Dovbush Separate Airborne Brigade.
A Russian strike on Nikopol claimed one life.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that if Russia continues to shell civilian logistics infrastructure in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will launch even more powerful retaliatory strikes against Russia’s logistics system.
