Russian propaganda is spreading fake photos of Ukrainian women with messages opposing mobilization

Russian propaganda has launched a fake “flash mob” aimed at opposing mobilization in Ukraine. Photos are circulating online of supposedly pregnant Ukrainian women holding signs calling for an end to mobilization.

The photos also feature slogans claiming that women “don’t need heroes” and that men should stay home.

In reality, these photos are fakes. Analysis using specialized content-analysis tools confirmed that all the images were generated using artificial intelligence.

The primary source of these fakes was a network of Russian Telegram channels that systematically produces and disseminates AI-generated fakes to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

This is a Russian information provocation. The main goal is to create the illusion of a mass protest and provoke real social media users into organically spreading the fake “flash mob.”

Practice information hygiene and do not fall for hostile manipulation.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Russian propaganda is spreading a staged video to discredit the 119th Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces—Counter-Disinformation Center.

Earlier, the Center refuted a forecast of two-week lockdowns this winter.

Ukraine is already preparing its power grid for the next heating season, which is forecast to be no less challenging than the previous one.

Ukraine will increase gas imports from Poland, according to the regulator.
