Russian propaganda is calling on Ukrainians to take to the streets in protest

Russian propaganda has stepped up a large-scale information campaign on social media calling on Ukrainians to take part in protests. The stated goal of this campaign is to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

“The Center has identified a large-scale disinformation campaign on social media, inspired by the Russian Federation, calling on Ukrainians to take to the streets in protest and destabilize the situation,” according to a statement from the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Calls to take to the Maidan and demand that the authorities “immediately conclude a peace agreement,” “cancel mobilization,” “hold immediate elections,” and so on are being actively disseminated and amplified in the Ukrainian information space. Ukrainian military personnel are allegedly being portrayed as “protest leaders.”

As noted by the center, according to intelligence data, Russia is attempting in this way to draw Ukrainian military personnel into protest actions to destabilize the country from within and undermine Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

“Do not fall for enemy manipulation and trust only verified sources of information,” the Center urged.

The seventh air raid alert of the day in Kyiv lasted nearly two hours.

The number of casualties in Kyiv due to Russian attacks has risen, including one child.

As a reminder, in the Dnipro district of Kyiv, a residential area was destroyed as a result of a Russian attack on September 24. According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities among the residents.
