Russian drones severely damaged the Cersanit plant in Zvyagel
On the night of September 11, Russian drones attacked the Cersanit factory in Zvyagel, Zhytomyr Oblast. The facility sustained significant damage and was forced to suspend production.
Employees were on the factory premises during the attack. All of them managed to evacuate, so there were no fatalities or injuries among the company’s staff.
However, the impact of the strike on production was severe. Key components of the production process were damaged, without which it is impossible to manufacture ceramic tiles.
Due to the extent of the damage, the plant is currently unable to continue operations. The company is conducting a detailed inspection of the facility and assessing the damage.
According to Cersanit’s preliminary estimates, it will take at least six months to restore production capacity. The final timeline will depend on the results of the damage assessment and the scope of restoration work required.

On September 12, Russian troops attacked the plant of the Polish company Cersanit SA in the Zvyagel district of Zhytomyr Oblast. Eyewitnesses reported the attack to Forbes Ukraine; there are currently no official comments from the company.

Kyiv has begun stockpiling food and drinking water in preparation for prolonged power outages and other emergencies. The city aims to prepare reserves in advance that can be used at resilience centers and to assist people in the event of large-scale disruptions.
